Sound of Soul

The music of your own heart.

I use the Sound of Soul instrument from Aqua Quinta, developed by Rasmus Gaupp-Berghausen and supported in the USA by The True Wellness Center. I bring it to retreats, gatherings, and meetings — wellness, scientific, and cybernetic — to offer the experience of hearing one's own heart rhythm rendered into sound and coloured light.

What it isYour heartbeat, made audible

Sound of Soul is a bio-cybernetic process. The instrument measures your heart-rate variability — the small, constant fluctuations in the timing between one heartbeat and the next — and converts those living rhythms, in real time, into musical tones and coloured light. What you hear and see is not a soundtrack chosen for you. It is the audible and visible trace of your own autonomic nervous system at work.

Rasmus describes it this way:

The focus of my work today is to convert the constantly varying living vibrations of the heart — which dwell within every person and connect us all to one another — into the frequency spectrum of sound and coloured light. With this, a possibility is created to make our uniqueness, and our connection to the other, experienceable, audible, and visible.

A session typically lasts 20 to 45 minutes. Afterwards you receive a printed report showing the trace of your session across ten parameters of autonomic function — response-ability, flexibility, resilience, balance, resources, recharge, and so on — and, if you wish, a recording of the music your heart made.

Cybernetics in actionThe system listens, and reflects

This is biofeedback in its oldest and most precise sense. The system measures, returns the measurement as sound and light, and the body — given a clear signal about its own state — finds its way. Nothing is being done to you. The instrument simply listens, and reflects.

The lineage is European bio-regulatory medicine — Pischinger and Heine on the connective ground that surrounds every cell, Randoll on cellular biorhythm, Gaupp-Berghausen on the heart as the body's rhythmic centre. Behind it sits a growing scientific literature: Carlo Ventura's work at Bologna on heart-sound vibrations and cellular differentiation, and Roumiana Tsenkova's aquaphotomics on the structuring of water by sound and light.

Join me as a co-explorer of the relation between sacred space, energy, information, vibration, heart, soul, sound, music, water, love, and health.

What I currently offerSessions & gatherings

I bring Sound of Soul to retreats, gatherings, and meetings. If you are organising one, or if you would simply like to experience a session, please get in touch.

I do not market this as a treatment for any condition. It is offered as a wellness and biofeedback experience, and as an invitation to encounter yourself.

Part of a wider practiceSensing the ground

Sound of Soul is one of several instruments I work with for sensing the state of the ground — the medium in which a person, a relationship, or an organisation actually lives. The same questions appear at every scale.

  • Ground Regulation — a diagnostic for the regulatory health of people and organisations, drawn from the same European bio-regulatory tradition.
  • CoExplorer — AI-guided expert knowledge capture and transfer, built on thirty years of conversation-based learning science.

Sound of Soul is offered as a wellness and biofeedback experience. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
